A BIT ABOUT ME & MY WORK:
Enamel pendant
I have been working as a studio artist, primarily working in a mixed media painting style, and arts educator for decades. In the past few years I've returned to one of my early loves: enameling. Bringing what I've learned as a painter to making small, personal items--jewelry, ornaments, buttons, trinket dishes, bookmarks, small hardware such as light switch plates, and more.

Lighthouse PendantI enjoy a wide range of processes available to enamelists, with a particular focus on the areas of cloissoné and painting techniques. Glass and metal are so warm, versatile, and beautiful, I could spend a lifetime working with these materials. I also work with chain and wire, as well as, beads and other elements made of glass, precious and semi-precious stones, fur . . . . and I will happily repurpose vintage materials whenever something catches my eye—which means occasionally I'll work with plasti c, wood, ceramic, porcelain, pewter, or with something that I just don't know for sure what it is.

I love beauty and a bit of surprise—every one of
my pieces is one-of-a-kind, and will hold a bit of both of those two
qualities.
